From the Blog

wedding shoesLast Wednesday evening I popped into the Apple Store in Regent Street to see wedding shoe designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal talk with Kinvara Balfour…

Wednesday night I dreamt of red shoes, leapord print shoes and then went a little bit Frida Kahlo and dreamt of winged shoes. Charlotte was truely inspiring and came across as a spirited, graceful and strong. She is completely passionate about her work and she’s someone I love to listen to.  My favourite Charlotte Olympia answer was, (when asked who she would want to wear her collection,) “”I would have loved to have seen Rita Hayworth dance in my shoes…” Mainly I was inspired by her focus and her thoughtful answers. Like me Charlotte is a working Mum who really loves her kids and also really loves her job. Like me her studio is close to home which gives a great work/home balance. When asked how she balances being a Mum of three kids with running her own business she said, “Some days I’d rather be at Monkey Music with my one year old than in a meeting but I love both my jobs!” I hear you Charlotte!!!

Gatsby_vintage-inspired-head-dress-kitI am loving my job of running Glam Hatters more than ever at the moment. We have a brand new hen party package, “The Gatsby Platinum Package“, six new Glam Hatter Girls working alongside our loyal Glam Hatter Girls and our very own Glam Hatter Tech Genius, Ellie working alongside our other new Glam Hatter Girl Shabnam, on social media.

Life is busy but having a good team around me is making things so very exciting! January got off to a roaring start and by the 1st of February we had already booked in 16 parties. February and March have carried on the busy trend and now we are offering parties in Dublin, Ireland as well as nationwide across the UK. (I’m just taking a quick break from the blog at this point to run up to my daughter Lottie’s school to go on the nursery trip to the library as a Mummy helper – I’ll be back later this afternoon!).

red wedding shoesI love being a part of the wedding industry so was very excited to hear that Charlotte Olympia has launched a range of wedding shoes.

Being a stylish kind of girl I was never going to go for a cream, stiletto, peep toe so I’m delighted to see these red “Love Me” shoes.hen party shoes

If you’d prefer to go along the traditional cream route then the “Minerva” shoes are just gorgeous and have a contemporary twist. Plus they’re covered in lace so channel your 40’s movie idol all the way down the ailse!

And for a super cute proposal – pray for one of these “Rock On Pandora” bags!!!

The Apple store in Regent Street often have fabulous guests – keep an eye on their website and reserve spaces straight away!

Charlotte Olympia (pictured on the right) charlotte olympia shoesis my favourite so far but I’ve also seen some fabulous artists and photographers at Regent Street and also at the Covent Garden store. I hope to see you at an inspiring talk soon and look forward to giving one of my own there once I’ve learned a bit more from my new Glam Hatter Tech Girls!

It’s time for me to wrap up, I’m off to a swimming lesson with my daughters! Tomorrow I’m in the studio setting up hat boxes of materials for 2 hen parties we are hosting at the weekend and then a meeting with Ellie in the afternoon to discuss more website projects! Busy bee and very, very happy to be so!

With Love, Glam Hatter Girl. xxx
