This hen made her wedding fascinator at her Glam Hatters’ party.

Gemma and her friends had super-creative fascinator making hen party with Glam Hatters. Our Glam Hatter Girls taught the group to make beautiful sinamay roses with birdcage veils and classic pearls.

The Hen Party.

Gemma and her friends booked in with Glam Hatters on the Silver Fascinator Making Package with Vintage Afternoon Tea. She was so delighted with her fascinator that she decided she would wear it as her wedding fascinator. This post is about her beautiful, vintage wedding day.

The Vintage Hair & Make-Up

Gemma and her bridesmaids started their day wearing gorgeous matching robes to have their vintage hair and make-up done by Sarah Russell Hair & Make-up. Sarah Russell is one of my favourite vintage suppliers and has been featured on Rock My Wedding. She  opted for a vintage hue red lipstick to go with her red fascinator.

The Wedding Dress

Gemma’s dress was from Wedding Quarter in Birmingham. Gemma found the family run business “were really helpful, and gave advice on how I could alter my dress which originally had a two foot train. I had it altered to suit my style.”

The Wedding Shoes

I love Gemma’s shoes (above). The fact that they are not cream or ivory means you can wear them on another occasion. These ones are bespoke from Bunny Pumpkin Boutique. For more vintage-inspired shoes check out my Wedding Shoes post here.

The Wedding Tuk-Tuk

I haven’t seen a tuk tuk in this part of the world before and I absolutely love that Gemma travelled to her wedding in this fabulous contraption. If you would like a unique wedding car like this one check out Tuktastic.

The Wedding Flowers

Gemma’s flowers were by her Mum (so cute) who is a former florist. Her bridesmaids had matching red rose bouquets, which pulled the elegant splash of vintage red through the whole wedding.

The Bride & Groom

Gemma with her bridesmaids – I’d love to know what the photographer had said just before this was taken. Weddings are wonderful things and it’s important to remember why that is. Two people make a commitment to each other, they show each other love. They also extend that love to their friends and family. This photo really captures that feeling of love.

We leave this post with a picture of the bride and groom. I started writing this post because I wanted to show you what a beautiful fascinator Gemma had made in during her hen party with Glam Hatters. And to show you her amazing vintage wedding. As I finish this post I realise how lucky I am to be part of the wedding process.

I get to be with you for a short time in the planning of your hen party and wedding event. I am privileged to hold your hand for a little while and guide you through this wonderful, sometimes stressful but utterly exhilarating time.

So to all the hens who have come through the Glam Hatters door I hope you occasionally take out the fascinator that you made at Glam Hatters. I hope you remember the fun you had with us and feel the love you experienced on your wedding day for your husband, your family and your friends.
